【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 12일 군청 집무실에서 음성우체국 및 음성군사회복지협의회와 함께 ‘음성군 안부살핌 우편서비스’ 추진을 위한 업무 협약을 체결했다.
‘안부살핌 우편서비스’는 우체국 집배원이 사회적 고립 위험이 있는 가구를 직접 방문해 생필품을 전달하고 안부를 확인하며, 위기 상황을 발견하면 지자체에 즉시 알리는 복지 안전망 서비스이다.
이날 협약식은 조병옥 음성군수와 이중재 음성우체국장, 이건용 음성군사회복지협의회장 및 관계자 등이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.
이번 협약을 통해 군은 중장년 1인가구, 고립 청장년, 조손가구 등 주기적 안부 확인이 필요한 취약계층 100가구를 선정해 지원한다.
협약에 따라 음성군은 사업 총괄, 대상자 선정 및 관리, 행정·재정적 지원 등을 맡게 되고, 음성우체국은 집배원을 통해 정기적인 방문 안부 확인과 위기 징후 상시 모니터링을 수행하게 된다.
또한 음성군사회복지협의회가 생필품을 구입하고 우편물을 접수하면, 집배원이 대상 가정을 직접 방문해 우편물을 전달하는 과정에서 안부를 확인하고, 필요시 복지서비스 연계 지원을 요청할 예정이다.
이번 사업은 행정안전부 공모사업에 선정돼 올해 12월까지 추진된다. 총사업비는 2천만 원이며, 재원은 국비 50%와 군비 50%로 마련되고 우체국 공익재단의 700만 원이 추가로 투입된다.
군은 이번 협약으로 고독사 위험이 높은 1인 가구와 고령층에게 더욱 든든한 보호막을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.
