대구시의회 문화복지위원회(위원장 박창석)는 12일, 오는 16일 임시 개장이 예정된 대구제2빙상장을 방문해 시설 현황과 운영 준비 상황을 최종 점검했다고 밝혔다.
이날 위원들은 빙질 관리 시스템을 비롯해 관람석, 출입 동선, 선수 대기실과 탈의실, 응급의료 대응 장비와 동선, 소방·전기 안전설비, 공조·환기 시스템, 장애인 접근성 등 전반적인 시설을 꼼꼼히 확인했다. 이어 운영계획 보고를 받고 초기 운영 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 문제점과 개선방안에 대해 집중적으로 논의했다.
대구 동구 각산동 혁신도시에 위치한 대구제2빙상장은 총 사업비 약 199억 원이 투입된 지하 1층, 지상 2층, 연면적 4,998㎡ 규모의 시설이다. 국제 규격에 맞는 빙질 유지를 위한 정빙 시스템과 공조 설비를 설치했고, 관람석과 카페 등 각종 편의시설도 갖췄다.
위원들은 겨울 스포츠 특성상 안전사고 위험이 높다는 점을 강조하며 응급상황 대응 매뉴얼, 구조·구급요원 배치, CCTV 모니터링 체계 가동 여부 등을 집중적으로 점검했다. 또한 임시 개장 기간 동안 선수와 시민들의 의견을 수렴할 수 있는 창구 마련과, 운영 과정에서 불편 사항이 발생할 경우 신속히 보완할 것을 주문했다.
