【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군이 최근 계속되는 유가 상승에 대응해 ‘범군민 에너지절약 운동’을 본격 추진한다.
공공부문이 먼저 솔선수범하고, 군민이 함께 참여하는 생활밀착형 절약 실천을 통해 고유가 위기 극복에 나선다는 방침이다.
군에 따르면 최근 음성군의 유가는 지난 2월 말 대비 휘발유가 11.8%, 경유가 21.1%나 급증하는 등 가파른 상승세를 보이고 있다.
이에 군은 유가 및 에너지 수급 상황이 안정화될 때까지 공공과 민간이 함께하는 강도 높은 절약 대책을 마련해 추진할 방침이다.
우선 군청사와 각 읍·면 행정복지센터 등 공공기관부터 에너지 절약 실천에 나선다. 냉난방 적정온도를 철저히 지키고, 점심시간에는 사무실 조명을 끄고 컴퓨터 전원을 차단하는 등 일상 속 절약을 생활화할 계획이다.
옥외 홍보 전광판과 경관 조명도 심야 시간대에는 소등하고, 공무원들의 대중교통 이용과 승용차 요일제 참여도 적극 독려한다.
민생경제를 보호하기 위한 현장 점검도 강화된다. 군은 오는 5월 8일까지 관내 주유소와 석유 판매업소를 대상으로 충북도 및 한국석유관리원과 합동 점검을 실시한다.
주요 점검 사항은 가짜 석유 제조·유통 여부와 정량 미달 판매 행위 등이며, 유류 가격 변동 상황에 대한 상시 모니터링도 병행해 군민들의 피해를 방지할 계획이다.

아울러 군민들이 에너지 절감을 통해 실질적인 경제적 혜택을 누릴 수 있도록 다양한 인센티브 제도도 지속 안내할 계획이다. 주행거리 감축 실적에 따라 혜택을 주는 ‘탄소중립포인트(자동차) 제도’를 비롯해 가정 내 에너지 사용량을 줄이면 포인트를 지급하는 ‘탄소중립포인트(에너지)’등이 대표적이다.
