13일 가평군에 따르면, 전날 북면 3·15 독립운동 발상지 공원에서 가평군과 광복회가 공동 주관한 '제107주년 3·1절 기념 제39회 가평의병 3·15 항일운동 기념식'이 엄숙한 분위기 속에 거행됐다.
이날 자리에는 서태원 가평군수와 김경수 가평군의회 의장을 비롯해 임광현 경기도의원, 김우일 가평군광복회장, 지역 보훈단체장 및 마을 주민 등 100여 명이 대거 참석해 초개와 같이 목숨을 던진 선열들의 넋을 기렸다.
