대전 대덕구의회가 제9대 임기 최종 회기로서 구민 삶에 밀착한 의정활동을 지속하며 '유종의 미'를 거둘 채비를 마쳤다.
오는 23일부터 26일까지 나흘간 열리는 제292회 임시회는 제9대 의회의 마지막 회기다. 전석광 의장을 비롯한 의원들은 이번 회기에서도 구민 복지 증진을 위한 실효성 높은 조례안들을 집중 논의한다.
특히 조대웅 의원이 발의한 '헌혈 및 장기·인체조직 기증 장려 조례 전부개정안'과 '헌혈 권장 조례안'은 지역 내 생명 나눔 문화를 제도적으로 정착시키는 데 초점을 맞췄다.
양영자 의원은 아동 안전을 최우선으로 '아동범죄 예방을 위한 아동보호구역 운영 조례안'을, 유승연 의원은 의정 운영의 전문성을 높이기 위한 '의정자문위원 운영조례 전부개정안'을 각각 제안해 의회 차원의 실질적 변화를 모색한다.
아울러 의회는 2025 회계연도 결산검사위원 선임도 주요 안건으로 다룬다. 선임된 위원들은 지난해 예산 집행의 적정성을 면밀히 검토하고, 재정 운영의 문제점과 개선 방안을 도출해 제10대 의회에 계승할 계획이다.
전석광 의장은 "제9대 의회를 마무리하는 마지막 회기인 만큼 끝까지 책임감 있는 자세로 구민의 목소리를 반영한 의정활동에 전념하겠다"고 밝혔다.
이번 임시회는 제291회에서 유승연 의원의 지역아동센터 명칭 변경 건의안 등 다양한 생활밀착형 안건을 처리한 데 이어 제9대 의회의 성과를 집대성하는 무대가 될 전망이다.
