<브레이크뉴스 포천 = 김형렬 기자> 포천시가 관내 저소득 장애인들의 안전하고 쾌적한 보금자리 마련을 위해 두 팔을 걷어붙였다.
포천시는 일상생활에 불편을 겪는 장애인 가구의 주거환경을 획기적으로 개선하고 삶의 질을 높이기 위한 ‘2026년 장애인 주택개조사업’ 대상자를 오는 4월 10일까지 집중 모집한다고 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 장애인들이 집 안팎에서 겪는 물리적 장벽을 허물고, 보다 안전하고 편리하게 생활할 수 있도록 주택 내 필수 편의시설 및 안전장치 설치 비용을 전폭적으로 지원하는 생활 밀착형 복지 정책이다.
지원 자격은 「장애인복지법」에 명시된 등록장애인 가구 중, 전년도 도시근로자 가구당 월평균 소득금액 이하인 저소득층이다. 시는 올해 총 4가구를 엄선해 혜택을 제공할 예정이며, 신청 수요가 배정 물량을 초과할 경우 기준 중위소득 50% 이하의 주거 취약 가구를 최우선으로 선발해 복지 사각지대를 해소할 방침이다.
선정된 가구에는 최대 380만 원의 사업비가 투입된다. 지원 항목은 출입문 교체, 손잡이 설치, 바닥 단차 제거 등 공통적인 시설 개선은 물론, 장애 유형에 맞춘 세밀한 맞춤형 시공이 포함된다. 청각장애인을 위한 시각경보기, 지체장애 및 휠체어 사용자를 위한 부엌 좌식 싱크대, 거동이 불편한 이들을 위한 욕실 안전손잡이 및 미끄럼 방지 등 거주자의 필요에 따른 전천후 리모델링이 진행될 예정이다.
사업 신청을 원하는 시민은 주소지 관할 읍면동 행정복지센터에 구비 서류를 갖춰 제출하면 된다.
