대구수목원 확장과 숲 체험원·산림치유센터 설치 등 산림 복지 인프라 강화 방안도 제시됐다. 약 234억 원이 투입되는 수목원 확장 사업을 조기에 마무리해 생태교육과 치유 프로그램, 관광 자원으로 활용한다는 계획이다.

홍 예비후보는 “녹색 행정은 선택이 아니라 주민 건강과 직결된 필수 행정”이라며 “달서구를 대구에서 가장 살기 좋은 생태 도시로 만들겠다”고 강조했다.
