브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 한국타이어앤테크놀로지㈜는 지난 16일 오후 헤이딜러와 인천광역시 서구 소재 헤이딜러 테크베이에서 중고차 타이어 공급 및 상품화 품질 고도화를 위한 업무협약(MOU)를 체결했다고 17일 밝혔다.
헤이딜러는 2015년 론칭 이후 빠르게 성장 중인 중고차 서비스다. 이번 업무협약은 차량의 성능 및 안전과 직결된 타이어를 중고차 품질의 핵심 기준으로 정립하는 동시에, 고품질의 중고차를 제공하기 위한 타이어 공급 협력 체계를 구축하기 위해 기획됐다.
이번 협약으로 헤이딜러 테크베이가 상품화하는 과정에서 타이어 교체가 필요한 차량에는 세계 최초 풀라인업 전기차 전용 타이어 브랜드 ‘아이온(iON)’, 플래그십 타이어 브랜드 ‘벤투스(Ventus)’, SUV 전용 타이어 브랜드 ‘다이나프로(Dynapro)’ 등 한국타이어 주요 제품이 장착된다.
아울러 헤이딜러 중고차 상품화 프로세스 전반에서의 한국타이어 장착 기준 수립 등 여러 부문에서 소비자가 신뢰할 수 있는 고품질 중고차 생산 공정 확립에 적극 협력한다는 계획이다.
한편, 한국타이어는 기존 신차용 타이어 공급과 교체용 타이어, 중고차 플랫폼 등 다양한 채널을 통해 국내 운전자들에게 프리미엄 브랜드 가치를 전달하고 있다. 2023년 기아(KIA), 2024년 현대자동차, 올해 헤이딜러에 이르기까지 폭넓은 고품질 인증 중고차 협력 체계를 구축함으로써 중고차 시장에서도 신뢰받는 프리미엄 타이어 브랜드로서의 경쟁력을 지속적으로 입증하고 있다.
