【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군이 행정안전부가 주관한 2025년 재해예방사업 추진실태 점검 평가에서 우수 지방정부로 선정됐다.
재해예방사업 추진실태 점검은 행정안전부가 전국에서 추진 중인 918개 재해예방 사업장을 대상으로 2025년 상·하반기에 걸쳐 실시한 평가다.
평가는 △조기 발주, 예산 신속 집행 △부실시공 여부, 현장 안전관리 △안전관리 대책 △재해위험지역 정비사업 공정률 △국가재난관리시스템(NDMS) 활용 여부 등 다양한 항목을 종합적으로 점검해 고득점 순으로 우수 지방정부를 선정한다.
군은 재해예방사업에 대한 선제적 재해 예방 대책 수립과 체계적인 공정 관리 등 적극적인 사업 추진 노력을 인정받아 의미 있는 결과를 얻었다.
특히 군은 재해예방사업의 원활한 추진을 위해 부군수를 단장으로 한 사업 조기추진단과 이월 방지 추진단을 구성해 사업 추진 상황을 정기적으로 점검하고, 부진 사업 지구에 대해서는 맞춤형 대책 회의를 진행하는 등 적극적인 관리 체계를 운영해 왔다.
현재 군은 자연재해로부터 군민의 생명과 재산을 보호하기 위해 7개 지구 총사업비 1천492억 원 중 올해 242억 원의 사업비를 확보했다.
이를 통해 △풍수해생활권 종합정비사업(광혜원·봉죽지구) △자연재해위험개선지구 정비사업(용몽·돌팩이·은탄·온수골·양백2지구) 등 대규모 재해예방사업을 연차적으로 추진하고 있다.
앞으로 자연재해 위험지역을 지속적으로 발굴하고 취약지역에 대한 원인 분석과 항구적인 정비 대책을 수립해 단계적으로 사업을 확대하는 등 자연 재난 예방 역량을 더욱 강화해 나갈 계획이다.
