반기문마라톤대회는 올해로 20회를 치를 만큼 전통을 가진 대회로 마라토너들의 관심 속에 그 결과 당초 모집 예정이었던 8000명을 훌쩍 뛰어넘는 1만1546명이 신청하는 등 전국적인 인기 마라톤 대회로서의 위상을 다시 한번 입증했다.
군과 군 체육회에 따르면, 풀, 하프, 10km코스는 접수 시작일로부터 8일 만에 마감됐으며, 건강달리기 4.2km코스는 당초 접수 마감일인 20일보다 앞당긴 9일에 마감됐다.
코스별로는 △풀코스 1002명 △하프 1820명 △10㎞ 3833명 △건강달리기 4.2㎞ 4891명으로, 총 1만1546명이 신청했다.
