<브레이크뉴스 강원 = 이향석 기자> 춘천시가 인공지능(AI)을 활용한 스마트 도로 모니터링 시스템 실증 사업을 올 상반기 내로 성공적으로 마무리하고, 기술 고도화를 위한 후속 공모사업 도전에 나선다.
17일 춘천시에 따르면, 시는 국토교통부와 국토교통과학기술진흥원이 주관하는 ‘스마트도시 규제 샌드박스’ 실증 사업의 일환으로 ‘인공지능(AI) 기반 도로안전 모니터링 시스템 구축 및 실증’ 사업을 적극 추진해 왔다.
해당 시스템은 시내버스 20대와 순회 차량 5대 등 총 25대의 차량에 설치된 카메라와 도심 곳곳의 CCTV 영상을 AI가 실시간으로 분석하는 것이 핵심이다. 이를 통해 포트홀, 낙하물, 도로 균열, 공사 장비 등 다양한 도로 위 위험 요소를 자동으로 탐지하고, 관련 부서에 원본 영상과 상황 정보를 즉각 전달해 신속한 현장 대응을 돕는다.
