【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청은 18일 오후 2시, 증평 김득신 문학관에서 증평교육지원청 설립 추진 방향을 논의하기 위한 정책간담회를 열고, 증평군(군수 이재영)과 <체인지앱 및 증평투어패스 활용 증평 지역 탐방 활성화>를 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.
이날 간담회에는 증평 지역 학부모 30여 명이 참석해 안전한 교육환경 조성, 교육 프로그램 확대, 돌봄 및 방과후 지원 강화 등 지역 교육 현안과 증평교육지원청 설립 필요성 등에 대한 다양한 의견을 제시했다.
도교육청은 이날 제시된 학부모 의견을 증평군과 협의해 증평교육지원청 설립 추진 과정에 반영할 계획이다.
증평교육지원청이 설립되면 지역 여건에 맞는 맞춤형 교육지원과 교육행정 서비스를 보다 신속하게 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
증평교육지원청 설립은 교육지원청 관할 구역과 명칭을 법률이 아닌 조례로 정할 수 있도록 한 「지방교육자치에 관한 법률」 개정안이 2025년 10월 통과되면서 추진이 가능해졌다.
한편 이날 충북교육청과 증평군은 체인지 앱을 활용한 학생 체험활동과 지역 관광 연계를 확대하기 위해 업무협약을 체결했다.
협약에 따라 증평군은 증평투어패스 사업을 활용해 학생 탐방 활동과 연계한 인센티브 제공과 지역 명소 안내 등에 협력하고, 충북교육청은 체인지 앱을 통해 증평 지역 탐방 코스를 운영하며 학생 참여 확대와 교육과정 연계를 지원할 계획이다.
특히 학교 자율시간 등 교육활동과 연계해 학생들이 지역을 직접 걷고 체험하며 배우는 지역 기반 교육활동을 확대할 예정이다.
체인지 앱은 충북교육청이 2024년 9월 전국 최초로 개통한 GPS 기반 학생 참여 플랫폼으로, 학생들의 신체활동과 지역 탐방을 연계한 교육활동을 지원하며 도내 11개 시·군과 협력해 다양한 탐방 코스를 운영하고 있다.
이재영 증평군수는“증평의 다양한 관광자원과 교육 프로그램을 연계해 학생들이 지역을 더욱 가까이에서 체험할 수 있도록 적극 협력하겠다.”라고 말했다.
윤건영 교육감은“증평교육지원청은 단순한 행정기관을 넘어 학생과 학부모가 체감할 수 있는 교육지원 거점이 되어야 한다.”라며“체인지 플랫폼을 통해 학생들이 지역을 걸으며 배우는 경험을 확대하고, 증평군과 협력해 교육과 지역이 함께 성장하는 모델을 만들어 가겠다.”라고 말했다.
