코레일 경북본부(본부장 박찬조)는 ‘2026년 여행가는 달’을 맞아 4월과 5월 두 달간 다양한 철도여행 할인 혜택을 제공한다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 문화체육관광부와 한국관광공사와 공동으로 추진되며, ▲지역사랑 철도여행 자유여행 상품 열차운임 100% 할인 쿠폰 ▲테마열차(동해산타·V·S·G·A-Train) 운임 및 요금 50% 할인 ▲내일로패스 2만 원 할인 등 다양한 혜택이 포함된다.
특히 인구감소지역 42곳을 대상으로 당일 또는 1박2일, 2박3일 일정의 자유여행을 즐긴 뒤 관광지 QR코드 인증이나 디지털관광주민증 인증을 완료하면, 이용 후 5일 이내 열차운임 100% 상당의 할인 쿠폰을 받을 수 있다.
이 기간 경북 지역에서는 군위 사유원 매화축제(3월 5일~31일), 의성 산수유 마을 꽃맞이 행사(3월 21일~29일), 영주 한국선비문화축제(5월 2일~5일) 등 다양한 봄 축제가 열려 관광객 유입이 기대된다.
상품 예매는 지역사랑 철도여행과 테마열차의 경우 3월 16일부터, 내일로패스는 3월 25일부터 코레일 홈페이지와 모바일 ‘코레일톡’ 앱을 통해 가능하며, 예매 상황에 따라 조기 마감될 수 있다.
박찬조 코레일 경북본부장은 “여행가는 달 할인 혜택을 통해 경북의 다양한 관광자원을 보다 부담 없이 즐기길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 지역과 상생하는 철도관광 서비스를 지속 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

KORAIL Gyeongbuk Headquarters (Head Park Chan-jo) announced that it will provide various rail travel discounts for two months, April and May, to mark the ‘2026 Travel Month.’
This event is being jointly promoted with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization, and includes various benefits such as: ▲ a 100% discount coupon on train fares for the ‘Regional Love Rail Travel’ independent travel package; ▲ a 50% discount on fares and fees for themed trains (Donghae Santa, V, S, G, and A-Train); and ▲ a 20,000 won discount on the Naeilro Pass.
In particular, targeting 42 areas experiencing population decline, travelers who enjoy a day trip or a 1-night/2-day or 2-night/3-day independent trip and complete QR code verification at a tourist attraction or digital tourist ID verification can receive a discount coupon equivalent to 100% of the train fare within 5 days of use.
During this period, various spring festivals are being held in the Gyeongbuk region, including the Gunwi Sayuwon Plum Blossom Festival (March 5–31), the Uiseong Sansuyu Village Flower Viewing Event (March 21–29), and the Yeongju Korean Scholar Culture Festival (May 2–5), which are expected to attract an influx of tourists.
Reservations for the products are available via the Korail website and the mobile ‘KorailTalk’ app starting March 16 for the Regional Love Railway Travel and Theme Trains, and March 25 for the Naeilro Pass; reservations may close early depending on availability. Park Chan-jo, Head of Korail's Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters, said, "I hope that through the 'Travel Month' discount benefits, people can enjoy Gyeongbuk's diverse tourism resources more affordably," adding, "We will continue to expand railway tourism services that foster mutual growth with the local community."
