구미교육지원청 신청사 개청…“교육행정 새 도약”

경상북도구미교육지원청(교육장 민병도)은 3월 19일 교육 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 신청사 개청식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 개청식은 신청사 건립 과정을 담은 홍보영상 상영을 시작으로, 주요 내빈과 교육가족이 함께한 가운데 광평중학교 학생들의 축하 공연이 이어지며 의미를 더했다.

행사에는 임종식 경상북도교육감과 이철우 경북도지사, 구자근 국회의원, 김장호 구미시장, 박채아 경북도의회 교육위원장 등 지역 주요 인사와 교육 관계자들이 참석했다.

구미교육지원청 신청사는 2022년 7월 착공해 약 2년간의 공사를 거쳐 2024년 7월 완공됐으며, 현대적인 교육행정 공간으로 조성됐다. 이를 통해 행정 효율성을 높이고 교육 현장을 지원하는 기반이 강화될 것으로 기대된다.

특히 신청사는 행정 기능을 넘어 교육 공동체가 소통할 수 있는 공간으로 설계됐다. 1층에는 다목적 강당과 휴게 공간 등을 갖춰 다양한 교육 행사와 맞춤형 지원이 가능하도록 했다.

민병도 교육장은 “신청사 개청은 구미 교육가족 모두의 노력으로 이뤄낸 성과”라며 “새로운 공간에서 학생들이 꿈을 키우고, 교직원과 학부모가 신뢰할 수 있는 교육 환경을 만들어 가겠다”고 말했다.
