충청남도교육청이 학교 현장의 위기 징후를 조기에 발견하고 대응하기 위한 학생 자살 예방 및 위기 지원 체계를 대폭 강화한다.
충남교육청 학생정신건강증진센터는 19일 아산 캠코 인재개발원에서 도내 Wee센터 담당자들을 대상으로 역량 강화 연수와 실무 협의회를 개최했다.
이번 행사는 최근 복잡해지는 학생들의 위기 상황에 기민하게 대응하고, 실무자들의 전문성을 높여 단단한 교육 안전망을 구축하기 위해 마련됐다.
연수는 이론 위주의 강의에서 벗어나 학교 현장에서 실제로 일어나는 위기 사례를 중심으로 진행됐다. 참석자들은 위기 징후를 포착하는 노하우와 즉각적인 대응 매뉴얼을 공유하며 실습 위주의 교육을 받았다.
이어진 분임 토의에서는 각 분야 담당자들이 머리를 맞대고 현장 대응 안내서(매뉴얼)를 꼼꼼히 점검했다. 실무 현장에서 겪는 애로사항을 바탕으로 안내서를 수정·보완하고, 실제 상황에서 즉각 작동할 수 있는 구체적인 업무 협업 방안을 도출했다.
특히 이번 연수에는 충남교육청이 위탁 운영하는 학생정신건강증진거점센터(천안중앙병원, 논산백제종합병원, 혜강병원)와 고위기 학생 및 가족의 심리 치유를 돕는 한국공공상담협회가 함께 참여해 눈길을 끌었다.
교육청과 의료기관, 전문 상담 기관이 한자리에 모여 실질적인 민·관 협력 방안을 논의함으로써 위기 학생에게 필요한 의료적 처치와 심리적 지원이 유기적으로 연결될 수 있는 토대를 닦았다.
김지철 교육감은 Wee센터 담당자들의 전문성이 곧 학생들의 안전과 직결된다는 점을 강조하며, 단 한 명의 학생도 소외되지 않는 건강한 교육 환경을 만드는 데 모든 행정력을 집중하겠다고 밝혔다.

The Chungcheongnam-do Office of Education is significantly strengthening its student suicide prevention and crisis support system to detect and respond to early signs of crisis in schools.
On the 19th, the Chungnam Office of Education’s Student Mental Health Promotion Center held capacity-building training and a working-level council for Wee Center staff in the province at the CAMCO Human Resources Development Center in Asan.
This event was organized to respond agilely to the increasingly complex crisis situations facing students and to build a robust educational safety net by enhancing the expertise of practitioners.
