가평군은 19일 관내 음악역 1939에서 서태원 가평군수를 비롯해 김경수 가평군의회 의장, 임광현 경기도의원, 체육회 관계자 및 6개 읍·면 민간추진단 위원 등 150여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘2026 경기도생활체육대축전 민간추진단 발대식’을 성황리에 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이날 발대식은 추진단 운영을 공식화하고 대회 성공 개최를 위한 범군민적 결의를 다지는 자리로 마련됐다. 행사의 하이라이트로 진행된 ‘성공 기원 퍼포먼스’에서는 참석한 내빈들과 추진단원들이 한마음 한뜻으로 대축전의 화려한 서막을 알리며 열기를 고조시켰다.

앞서 군은 지난 2월까지 6개 읍·면 민간추진단을 재정비하며 조직 내실을 탄탄히 다졌다. 이번 발대식을 통해 단원들을 공식 위촉했으며, 특히 2025년 경기도체육대회에서 맹활약했던 기존 단원들을 중심으로 조직을 정예화해 결속력과 대회의 연속성을 한층 강화했다.
공식 출범한 추진단은 앞으로 관내 주요 다중밀집장소와 관광지를 중심으로 대대적인 홍보 캠페인에 돌입한다. 또한 외식업소와 숙박업소 등을 직접 방문해 군민들의 자발적인 대회 참여를 독려하는 등 현장 중심의 밀착 활동을 주도할 예정이다.
