군은 정부가 2026년 예산을 ‘AI 시대를 여는 첫 번째 예산’으로 규정하고 약 10조 1천억 원 규모로 확대 편성한 흐름에 대응해, 중앙부처와 충북도의 AI 정책에 선제적으로 대응할 수 있는 전략 체계를 마련했다.
특히 지난 2월 제정된 ‘진천군 인공지능 기반 행정구현에 관한 조례’를 기반으로 정책 추진의 제도적 기반도 확보한 상태다.
이번 종합계획은 ‘가장 앞선 AI, 가장 진천다운 혁신’을 비전으로 △AI 미래 인재 양성(사람) △AI 전환 선도(산업) △AI 체감 도시 구현(공간)을 3대 핵심 목표로 설정하고, 이를 실현하기 위한 8대 핵심과제를 도출했다.
군은 신규 사업 6건과 계속 사업 17건 등 총 23개 사업에 약 367억 원을 투입해 속도감 있는 AI 기반 지역 혁신을 추진할 계획이다.
분야별 주요 과제를 살펴보면 △대외협력 분야에서는 산·학·연·관 협력 네트워크를 구축해 정부·도 공모사업에 공동 대응하고, △행정 분야에서는 생성형 AI 행정비서 도입과 업무 자동화(RPA) 정착을 통해 행정 효율성을 높인다.
또한 △교통·안전 분야에서는 지능형 관제 시스템 고도화와 무인자동차 기반 스마트 교통체계를 도입해 안전망을 강화하고 대중교통사각지대 해소하며, △경제 분야에서는 제조 데이터 활용과 중소기업 디지털 전환을 적극 지원한다.
△융합 분야에서는 지능형 영농 인프라 확산으로 미래형 산업 기반을 구축하고, △교육 분야에서는 ‘K-스마트 교육’ 고도화를 통해 AI 인재 양성에 집중한다.
