특히 실무 협의를 통해 ‘초등책날개 북스타트 독서의병’프로그램과 ‘아이성장 골든타임 유아 문해력 발달 지원 책싹’ 프로그램을 고도화하여 운영하기로 합의했다. 제천교육지원청은 프로그램 운영을 위한 기본계획 수립과 예산 지원, 행정 업무를 담당하며, 제천기적의도서관은 전문 강사 지원과 맞춤형 교육 콘텐츠 제공 및 일정 조율 등을 맡아 프로그램의 전문성을 높일 예정이다.
이범모 교육장은 “이번 협약 체결은 우리 아이들이 영유아기부터 초등 단계까지 체계적인 독서 교육을 받을 수 있는 지속 가능한 인프라를 확보한다는 데 큰 의미가 있다”며, “제천기적의도서관과의 긴밀한 협력을 통해 ‘의림지 천년의 숨결, 창의로 여는 제천교육’의 비전 아래 학생들이 인문학적 소양을 갖춘 미래 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 아낌없이 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
