이번 협약은 증평군의 행정 역량과 현장 활동이 잦은 한전의 인적 자원을 연계해 지역 안전망을 촘촘히 구축하기 위해 마련됐다.
생활 현장을 직접 방문하는 검침 인력을 활용해 위기가구를 조기에 발견하고 산불 위험 요인을 신속히 파악하는 것이 핵심이다.
협약에 따라 한전MCS(주) 증평괴산지점은 검침 과정에서 도움이 필요한 가구를 발견하면 군에 제보하고, 산림 인접 지역 등에서 산불 위험요인을 확인할 경우 즉시 신고하는 역할을 맡는다.
군은 제보된 사례에 대해 상담과 현장 확인을 거쳐 긴급복지, 돌봄, 생활지원 등 맞춤형 복지서비스를 연계하고 산불 예방 대응체계도 강화할 계획이다.
군은 이번 협약을 통해 행정의 복지·안전 정책이 지역 현장과 더욱 긴밀히 연결되면서 복지 위기가구 발굴과 산불 예방 대응력도 한층 높아질 것으로 기대하고 있다.
