이번 공모사업은 급격한 디지털 전환 속에서 일상생활에서 키오스크 활용에 어려움을 겪는 디지털 취약계층을 지원하기 위해 마련됐다.
특히 기존 강의실형 교육에서 벗어나 전문 문해교육사가 직접 교육용 키오스크를 휴대하고 경로당, 마을회관, 문해학습장 등 학습자가 원하는 장소로 찾아가 교육을 진행하는 방식으로 운영돼 실효성을 높였다.
시는 해당 사업을 통해 세대간 디지털 정보 격차를 해소하는 혁신적 디저털 문해교육 실현에 최선을 다한다는 방침이다.
시 관계자는 “키오스크가 일상이 된 시대에 디지털을 모르는 것은 단순한 불편을 넘어 사회적 소외로 이어진다”며 “이번 국비 확보를 발판 삼아 충주시민이라면 누구나 당당하게 디지털 혜택을 누릴 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
