이날 위원회에서는 먼저 2026년 하반기 개최 예정인 음성명작페스티벌과 제45회 설성문화제의 개최 시기를 확정했다.
음성명작페스티벌은 오는 9월 17일부터 20일까지 4일간 금왕 금빛근린공원 일원에서 열리며, 제45회 설성문화제는 추석 연휴 이후인 10월 16일부터 17일까지 2일간 음성종합운동장 일원에서 개최된다.
위원회는 축제의 정체성과 계절적 특성, 방문객 편의, 지역 행사 일정 등을 종합적으로 고려해 개최 시기를 결정했다.
아울러 제27회 음성품바축제 사업계획안과 예산안도 심의·확정했다.
올해 음성품바축제는 ‘음성은 품바야! 재미, 사랑, 나눔, up, up, up’을 슬로건으로 오는 6월 10일부터 14일까지 5일간 음성읍 설성공원 및 꽃동네 일원에서 개최될 예정이다.
대표 프로그램으로는 △전국 품바 길놀이 퍼레이드 △품바 하우스 짓기 대회 △글로벌 품바 래퍼 경연대회 △음성N품바 경연대회 △품바왕 LIVE 공연 △반려식물 키우기대회 △노숙인에게 사랑과 희망을 △천인의 엿치기 및 비빔밥 나누기 등이 마련된다.

김기명 축제추진위원장은 “축제별 특성과 방향성을 충분히 살려 군민과 관광객 모두가 만족할 수 있는 축제가 되도록 준비에 만전을 기하겠다”며 “특히 음성품바축제는 품바 고유의 정신과 매력을 담아내면서도 국내외 방문객이 함께 즐기는 축제로 성장할 수 있도록 세심하게 챙기겠다”고 말했다.
