포천시는 지난 23일 (재)경기대진테크노파크와 공동으로 선단동 소재 디온리오토모티브㈜와 군내면 소재 씨앤에스메디칼㈜ 등 관내 스마트공장 우수 구축 기업 두 곳을 방문했다고 24일 밝혔다.
이날 현장에는 포천시장을 비롯해 시 관계 부서장, 경기대진테크노파크 관계자와 기업 대표들이 총출동했다. 이들은 공장 라인을 직접 둘러보며 스마트 제조혁신의 눈부신 성과를 체감하는 한편, 최근 팍팍해진 대내외 경제 여건 속 기업들의 뼈아픈 현장 목소리를 여과 없이 수렴했다.

자동차 브레이크 패드 생산기업인 디온리오토모티브㈜는 스마트공장(중간2 수준) 구축의 모범 사례다. 원료 자동공급 및 설비 제어시스템을 도입해 실시간 생산 데이터를 꽉 잡은 결과, 생산량은 8.9% 끌어올리고 불량률은 무려 54%나 깎아내는 기염을 토했다.
의료기기 제조업체인 씨앤에스메디칼㈜ 역시 생산관리시스템과 자동화 설비를 찰떡같이 연계해 품질과 효율 두 마리 토끼를 모두 잡았다. 생산량이 무려 400% 폭증하는 놀라운 성과를 거두며 스마트 제조환경의 막강한 위력을 입증했다.

전재원 디온리오토모티브㈜ 대표는 "스마트공장 도입 후 품질과 생산성이 눈에 띄게 좋아졌다"고 감사를 표하면서도, "최근 불거진 이란 사태 여파로 수출길에 차질이 생기고 물류비가 폭등해 벼랑 끝에 몰려있다"고 절박한 현장 상황을 토로했다.
한편, (재)경기대진테크노파크 경기북부스마트제조혁신센터는 지난 19일부터 정보통신기술(ICT) 기반의 '제조인공지능(AI) 특화 스마트공장 구축지원사업' 공고를 내고 지역 기업들의 든든한 체질 개선을 돕고 있다.

포천시 관계자는 "관내 제조기업들이 열악한 환경을 딛고 실질적인 혜택을 체감할 수 있도록 지원 방안을 현미경처럼 살피겠다"며 "경기대진테크노파크와 톱니바퀴처럼 협력해 포천 제조업의 탄탄한 미래 먹거리를 발굴할 것"이라고 약속했다.
