<브레이크뉴스 포천 = 김형렬 기자> 포천시 진정한 풀뿌리 민주주의의 중심축 역할을 할 '제2기 포천시 주민자치연합회'가 새 선장과 함께 힘찬 닻을 올렸다.
포천시는 지난 23일 소흘읍 행정복지센터 대강당에서 지역 주민자치위원 및 관계자 200여 명이 구름 떼처럼 모인 가운데, '2026년 포천시 주민자치연합회장 이·취임식'을 성황리에 개최했다고 24일 밝혔다.
이날 행사는 그동안 포천시 주민자치의 탄탄한 기틀을 닦아온 제1대 김도겸 연합회장의 이임사와, 새로운 바통을 이어받은 제2기 김상혁 신임 회장의 취임사로 문을 열었다. 이어 묵묵히 지역사회를 위해 헌신해 온 유공자들을 향한 공로패와 감사패 전달식, 그리고 포천의 새로운 도약을 응원하는 각계의 릴레이 축하 인사가 쏟아지며 장내를 훈훈하게 달궜다.
아쉬운 작별을 고한 제1대 김도겸 이임 회장은 "맨땅에서 포천시 주민자치 발전을 위해 동고동락해 주신 모든 위원님들께 깊은 감사를 전한다"며 "이제는 평범한 시민의 한 사람으로 돌아가 포천의 눈부신 성장을 조용히, 그러나 열렬히 응원하겠다"고 뭉클한 소회를 밝혔다.
