<브레이크뉴스 포천 = 김형렬 기자> 포천시 내촌면 어르신들의 반백 년 묵은 숙원 사업이 마침내 눈부신 결실을 맺었다. 낡고 비좁았던 옛 경로당이 쾌적하고 안전한 최신식 스마트 여가 공간으로 화려하게 탈바꿈했다.
포천시는 지난 23일 내촌면 내촌로56번길 일원에서 포천시장을 비롯한 지역 내빈들과 마을 주민들이 대거 참석한 가운데 '내3리 경로당 준공식'을 성대하게 열었다고 24일 밝혔다.

이날 행사는 벅찬 경과보고를 시작으로 유공자 표창장 및 감사패 수여, 축사, 그리고 경로당의 새로운 출발을 알리는 오색 줄 자르기 퍼포먼스와 시설 관람 순으로 훈훈하게 진행됐다.
기존에 사용하던 내3리 경로당은 무려 1976년에 건립된 노후 건축물로, 그동안 어르신들이 시설을 이용하는 데 큰 불편과 안전상의 우려를 겪어왔다. 이에 시는 총사업비 5억 원을 과감하게 투입해 어르신들의 눈높이에 맞춘 쾌적한 명품 경로당을 새롭게 빚어냈다.
