(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시의회 건설교통위원회 김대중 위원장(국·미추홀구2)이 24일 인천시청 브리핑룸에서 기자회견을 열고, 정부의 인천국제공항공사·한국공항공사·가덕도신공항건설공단 통합 검토에 대해 강력한 반대 입장을 밝혔다.
김 위원장은 “인천국제공항이 대한민국 항공산업의 핵심 기반 시설임을 강조하며, 이번 통합 논의가 인천공항의 재무건전성 훼손, 국가 공항정책의 일관성 저해, 지역사회 수용성 결여 등 중대한 문제를 초래할 수 있다”고 지적했다.
특히, 그는 “인천공항 재원을 타지역 신공항 건설이나 지방공항 적자 보전에 활용하는 것은 ‘공공기관의 운영에 관한 법률’상 재무건전성 원칙에 반할 소지가 있다”고 했다.
그는 또 가덕도신공항 사업과 관련해 “일정 지연, 개항 목표 변경(2035년), 연약지반에 따른 안전성 문제 등 불확실성이 지속되고 있는 만큼, 국가 핵심 인프라 재원의 연계는 신중해야 한다”고 강조했다.
