(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 지난 12일에 이어 24일 아침 시청 본관 장미홀에서 중동 전쟁 장기화에 따른 지역경제 피해를 최소화하고 선제적인 대응 방안을 논의하기 위해 유정복 시장이 직접 주재하는 ‘비상경제 점검회의’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 이날 회의는 지난 3월 12일부터 운영 중인 ‘중동상황 대응 비상경제 전담팀(TF)’의 반별 추진 실적을 점검하고, 유관기관과 함께 향후 대응 방향을 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.
회의에는 양 부시장, 기획조정실장, 전담팀(TF)담당 국장, 인천경제자유구역청 차장을 비롯해 인천상공회의소, 인천테크노파크, 인천경영자총협회, 인천신용보증재단 등 주요 경제 기관장들이 참석해 머리를 맞댔다.
4개 반으로 운영 중인 비상경제 전담팀(TF)은 그동안 농축산물 등 생활물가 모니터링 및 관내 배합사료공장(8개소) 사료가격 안정 협조 요청, 석유판매업 합동점검반 편성을 통한 주유소 합동점검과 석유제품 매점매석 신고센터 운영, 500억 원 규모 긴급 경영안정자금 지원 및 기업 애로․피해 상담 창구 운영, 사회복지시설 등 에너지 취약시설 관리 체계 구축과 복지 사각지대 모니터링 강화 등 중동상황 대응 추진 실적을 보고했다.
유정복 시장은 “중동 상황로 인한 에너지 가격 상승과 물류 불확실성이 우리 기업과 가계에 직접적인 부담으로 작용하고 있다”라며, “수출기업의 경영 애로를 최소화할 수 있도록 물류비와 경영안정자금 지원을 적기에 실행하라”고 지시했다.
이어 “사회복지시설 등에너지 취약시설과 취약계층에 대한 복지 사각지대가 발생하지 않도록 촘촘한 모니터링을 지속해야 한다”고 강조했다.
한편, 유정복 시장은 이날 회의를 마친 직후 한국지엠 부평공장과 부평시장을 잇달아 방문해 생산 현장의 목소리를 듣고 장바구니 물가를 직접 점검하는 등 당분간 민생 현장 행보를 이어갈 계획이다.
