【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 영동군이 새 학기를 맞은 대학가를 직접 찾아가 전입 홍보에 나섰다.
군은 지난 24일 유원대학교 교내에서 열린 ‘유원Day’ 행사에 홍보부스를 운영하고, 신입생을 비롯한 재학생을 대상으로 전입 혜택을 안내하는 현장 홍보를 진행했다.
이날 행사에는 400여 명의 대학생들이 홍보부스를 찾은 가운데, 군은 인구 증가 시책과 함께 전입 시 받을 수 있는 다양한 혜택을 안내하고 홍보물품을 배부하며 학생들의 관심을 끌었다.
영동군은 유원대학교 학생이 지역으로 전입할 경우 전입 1개월 뒤 25만 원을 지급하고, 이후 1년이 지날 때마다 25만 원씩 3회 지원해 재학 동안 최대 100만 원의 전입지원금을 지급한다.
또한 장학생 신청일 기준 6개월 이상 영동군에 거주하고 있는 학업성적 우수 학생에게는 150만 원의 영동군민장학금을 지급하고 있다.
이와 함께 종량제봉투(20리터) 50장과 문화체육센터, 와인터널, 난계국악박물관을 무료로 입장할 수 있는 공공시설 이용우대증도 지급한다.
