보령시가 다자녀 가정과 임신부 지원 방식을 손질했다. 공공요금 감면처럼 체감이 분산되는 방식에서 벗어나, 시민이 일상에서 바로 활용할 수 있는 직접 지원을 강화하는 쪽으로 제도를 바꾼 것이다.
시는 2019년부터 시행해 온 ‘다자녀가정·임신부 바우처 카드 지원사업’을 올해 개편해 기존 미성년 자녀 1인당 연 10만 원 지원에 더해 가구당 연 10만 원을 추가 지급하기로 했다. 그동안 운영해 온 월 8000원의 상수도 요금 감면은 폐지하고, 이를 바우처 카드 지원으로 통합했다.
