논산딸기축제가 올해는 하늘까지 열었다.
축제 개막을 앞둔 논산시 시민운동장에 대표 군 헬기들이 줄줄이 착륙하며 축제 분위기를 한층 고조시켰다.
이번 전시에는 아파치, 수리온, LAH(소형무장헬기), 벨-505, UH-60 블랙호크, 마리온 등 총 6대의 헬기가 참가했다. 모든 기종은 축제 기간 내내 시민운동장에 상시 전시되며, 관람객들에게 근접 관람과 기념 촬영의 기회를 제공한다.
특히 국산 기동헬기 수리온과 미군의 상징적인 블랙호크는 체험 비행 이벤트의 주인공으로, 지난 2월 사전 추첨을 통해 선정된 시민들이 실제 탑승 체험을 하게 된다.

참가자들은 봄바람에 실린 딸기 향과 함께 논산 하늘을 활공하는 특별한 추억을 만들 예정이다.
한편, 시민운동장 인근 전천후 육상경기장에서는 ‘방산전시회’도 함께 진행된다. 현대중공업, 한화, LIG넥스원 등 14개 업체가 참여해 최신 방산 장비 50여 종을 선보이며, 첨단 기술력 경쟁을 펼칠 예정이다.
올해 논산딸기축제는 ‘하늘에서 즐기는 축제’라는 새로운 콘셉트로 시민의 이목을 끌며, 단순한 지역 축제를 넘어 체험과 산업 전시가 어우러진 복합형 축제로 자리매김하고 있다.
