브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= LG가 지난 25일 서울시 중구 남산리더십센터에서 구광모 LG 회장를 비롯해 주요 계열사 사장단 40여 명이 참석한 ‘사장단 회의’를 개최했다.
이번 회의는 지경학적 불안 고조와 글로벌 공급망 재편 등 경영 환경의 불확실성이 상수(常數)가 된 상황에서 외부 충격에 흔들리지 않는 견고한 ‘미래 체력’을 기르기 위한 전략적 해법을 모색한 자리였다.
LG 사장단은 예측 불가능한 시장 상황을 돌파하기 위해서는 현재의 효율을 개선하는 수준을 넘어 구조적 혁신이 필요하다는 데 공감했다. 특히, 이를 가능케 하는 AX(AI Transformation)를 미래 경쟁력의 본질로 규정하고, 속도감 있는 실행력이 핵심이라는 데 의견을 모았다.
구 회장은 AI에 의한 산업 구조의 변화를 전기와 인터넷의 도입에 견주며 “AI는 단순히 효율성과 생산성을 개선시키는 도구가 아닐 것”이라며 “새로운 시대를 준비하기 위한 근본적인 변화를 요구하고 있으며, 이 변화를 어떻게 이해하고 대응하느냐에 따라 기업의 미래가 결정될 것이다”고 강조했다.
