대구작가콜로퀴엄은 대구문학관과 함께 오는 3월 31일부터 매월 마지막 화요일 오후 5시 ‘무료 월례 작가콜로퀴엄’을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
이번 프로그램은 ‘시민과 함께 인문 예술을 이야기하다’를 주제로, 문학을 비롯해 예술·과학·역사 등 다양한 분야를 아우르는 통섭형 강연으로 진행된다. 시민들이 인문학적 소통을 통해 삶의 폭을 넓히고 공동체적 공감대를 형성할 수 있도록 기획됐다.
올해 강연은 이정태 경북대 교수의 ‘2026년, 세계의 전쟁들’을 시작으로 총 10회에 걸쳐 진행된다. 영미문학, 지역 예술사, 시인론, 방언문학, 예술가의 삶과 질병 등 폭넓은 주제가 다뤄질 예정이다.
특히 7~8월에는 여름방학 특강으로 가족 참여형 프로그램도 마련된다. ‘영어, 어떻게 공부할까’, ‘조손 가족의 행복한 소통’ 등 실생활과 밀접한 주제의 강연이 예정돼 시민들의 관심을 모으고 있다.
박재복 대구작가콜로퀴엄 대표는 “다양한 분야를 아우르는 강연을 통해 시민들이 인문학적 공감대를 나누고 개인과 공동체가 함께 성장하는 계기를 마련하고자 한다”며 “올해 콜로퀴엄이 삶을 다채롭게 바라보는 기회가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

Daegu Literature Museum to Host ‘Monthly Writers’ Colloquium’… Free Humanities and Arts Lectures for Citizens
The Daegu Writers’ Colloquium is establishing a venue for communication in the humanities and arts with citizens.
The Daegu Writers’ Colloquium announced that, in collaboration with the Daegu Literature Museum, it will operate a ‘Free Monthly Writers’ Colloquium’ every last Tuesday of the month at 5:00 PM, starting this coming March 31.
Under the theme of ‘Discussing Humanities and Arts with Citizens,’ this program will feature interdisciplinary lectures encompassing diverse fields such as literature, art, science, and history. It is designed to allow citizens to broaden the scope of their lives and form a sense of community through humanistic communication.
This year’s lectures will be held over a total of 10 sessions, beginning with Professor Lee Jung-tae of Kyungpook National University’s lecture, ‘2026, World Wars.’ A wide range of topics are scheduled to be covered, including Anglo-American literature, regional art history, theories on poets, dialect literature, and the lives and diseases of artists.
In particular, family-participation programs are organized as special summer vacation lectures during July and August. Lectures on topics closely related to daily life, such as "How to Study English" and "Happy Communication in Grandparent-Grandchild Families," are scheduled and are attracting the interest of citizens.
Park Jae-bok, Representative of the Daegu Writers Colloquium, stated, "We aim to provide an opportunity for citizens to share a humanistic consensus and for individuals and the community to grow together through lectures that encompass diverse fields," adding, "I hope this year's colloquium will serve as an opportunity to view life in a colorful way."
