대구 동구청은 26일 아양아트센터에서 동구장애인재활센터 주최로 ‘제4회 동구 장애인 재활 어울림 체육대회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 대회는 단순한 체육행사를 넘어 모두가 함께 참여하고 즐길 수 있는 소통과 화합의 장으로 기획됐다. 특히 슐런과 퍼팅 등 누구나 쉽게 참여할 수 있는 생활 스포츠 종목이 운영돼 장애인과 비장애인이 함께 어울리는 의미 있는 시간이 됐다.
참가자들은 다양한 체육활동을 통해 서로 교류하며 공동체 의식을 높이고, 장애에 대한 인식 개선과 사회적 거리 해소에도 기여했다는 평가다.
김태운 동구청장 권한대행은 “이번 대회를 통해 장애인과 비장애인이 자연스럽게 어울리며 서로를 이해하는 계기가 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 동구를 대표하는 건전한 문화체육 행사로 발전시켜 나가겠다”고 말했다.
