<브레이크뉴스 가평 = 이용하 기자> 가평군 가평읍 지역사회보장협의체가 지역 내 홀로 거주하는 어르신들의 건강한 식생활과 정서적 안정을 위해 두 팔을 걷어붙였다.
가평읍 지역사회보장협의체(이하 지사협)는 지난 26일 관내 식사 준비에 어려움을 겪고 있는 독거노인들을 직접 찾아가 정성이 담긴 반찬을 전달하는 ‘홀몸 어르신 반찬 배달 사업’을 전개했다고 27일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 단순히 균형 잡힌 먹거리를 제공하는 것을 넘어, 정기적인 가구 방문을 통해 어르신들의 안부를 묻고 생활 실태를 세심히 살피는 등 정서적 돌봄 기능까지 톡톡히 수행하고 있다.
현재 지사협 위원들은 매월 2회씩 관내 23가구의 홀몸 어르신 댁을 직접 방문해 반찬을 전달하며, 보이지 않는 곳의 복지 사각지대 발굴과 해소에 앞장서고 있다.
노재풍 지사협 위원장은 “반찬 지원은 어르신들의 영양 불균형 해소는 물론, 주기적인 대면 방문을 통해 고독사를 예방하는 데에도 큰 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 긴밀하게 호흡하며 주민 체감형 맞춤형 복지사업을 꾸준히 펼치겠다”고 전했다.
