(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천해양경찰서가 오는 3월 31일부터 4월 8일까지 9일간 연안 안전사고 예방을 위해 안전사고 위험예보 ‘관심’ 단계를 발령한다고 밝혔다.
인천해경에 따르면, 이번 기간은 대조기(4월 2일~5일)에 해당해 평소보다 해수면이 높아져 조차가 크고 조류 흐름도 강해, 갯벌 고립 및 익수사고 등 연안사고 발생 위험이 높을 것으로 예상되어 각별한 주의가 요구된다.
인천해경은 연안사고 예방을 위해 취약 해역 중심으로 순찰을 강화하고, 고립 우려 지역에 대한 선제적 안전관리를 실시할 예정이다.
특히, 갯벌 체험객이 많은 주요 해역을 중심으로 조석 시간대에 맞춰 해·육상 순찰을 집중 실시하고 24시간 긴급출동 태세를 유지하는 한편, 지자체 및 유관기관과 협의하여 안전계도 및 홍보 활동도 병행 추진하고 있다.
인천해경 관계자는 “대조기에는 물이 예상보다 빠르게 차오르기 때문에 짧은 시간에도 고립될 수 있다”며 “갯벌 활동 전 반드시 물때를 확인하고, 구명조끼 착용과 2인 이상 동행 등 기본 안전 수칙을 반드시 지켜달라”고 당부했다.
한편, ‘해로드(海Road)’, 바다내비, ‘안전해(海)’ 등 앱(App)을 다운로드 받아 이용하면 조석표 등 다양한 해양안전정보를 얻을 수 있다.
