추 의원은 “천사무료급식소는 대구에서 시작해 전국으로 퍼진 곳으로, 많은 어르신께 따뜻한 식사를 제공해왔다”며 “한 끼 식사는 단순히 배를 채우는 것을 넘어 마음의 위로가 된다”고 강조했다.
고령화에 따른 복지 문제도 언급했다. 그는 “어르신들의 건강한 노후와 사회적 돌봄은 지역 공동체가 함께 책임져야 할 중요한 과제”라며 “노인복지와 사회적 약자 보호에 더욱 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.
아울러 “대구시 내 복지 사각지대 해소를 위한 세심한 정책 마련에도 각별히 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
