임채호 더불어민주당 안양시장 예비후보가 지난 28일 선거사무소 개소식을 열고, 본격적인 민심 잡기에 나섰다.
임 예비후보는 이날 오후 안양시 비산동에 위치한 선거사무소에서 ‘이재명과 함께! 100만 통합 특례시 안양 대전환!’을 슬로건으로 내걸고 출정식을 방불케 하는 개소식을 거행했다.
이날 행사에는 강득구 더불어민주당 최고위원과 박준모 안양시의회 의장을 비롯해 지역 당원 및 지지 시민 300여 명이 대거 참석해 임 예비후보의 새로운 여정에 힘을 보탰다.
임 예비후보의 후원회장을 맡은 김용 전 민주연구원 부원장은 서면 축사를 통해 “임 예비후보는 타협하지 않는 뚝심과 행동력으로 반드시 답을 찾아내는 인물”이라며 신뢰를 보냈다.
현장에 참석한 내빈들 또한 임 예비후보가 재선 안양시의원, 재선 경기도의원, 경기도의회 사무처장, 그리고 이재명 경기도지사 시절 초대 정무수석을 역임한 점을 강조하며, “의정과 행정을 두루 섭렵한, 실무 능력과 정치력을 겸비한 준비된 후보”라고 입을 모았다.
