대구교통공사는 지난 27일 노사 대표가 참석한 가운데 ‘노사합동 ESG 경영 실천 선언문’ 서명식을 열고 ESG 경영을 공동 추진하기로 했다고 밝혔다.
이번 선언은 노사 간 ESG 경영에 대한 공감대를 바탕으로 공공기관의 사회적 책임을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다. 사장과 양 노동조합 위원장이 공동 서명에 참여해 상생과 협력 기반의 ESG 경영 추진 의지를 확인했다.
공사는 ESG 경영의 체계적 추진을 위해 3대 전략 목표, 9대 전략과제, 15대 주요 지표로 구성된 전략 체계를 수립했으며, 이를 토대로 환경(E), 사회(S), 지배구조(G) 전반에 걸친 실천 과제를 본격적으로 추진할 계획이다.
특히 환경 분야에서는 동종 기관 최초로 폐 PET병을 활용한 친환경 소재 근무복을 제작·도입해 자원순환과 탄소 저감에 기여할 방침이다.
이와 함께 노동존중 기반의 상생 노사문화 구축, 지역사회 공헌 활동 확대, 투명하고 책임 있는 경영체계 확립 등을 통해 지속가능 경영을 강화해 나간다.
김기혁 대구교통공사 사장은 “이번 선언은 노사가 함께 실천하는 지속가능 경영의 출발점”이라며 “앞으로도 긴밀한 협력을 통해 ESG 가치를 조직 전반에 확산하고, 사회적 책임을 선도하는 공기업으로 도약하겠다”고 말했다.
