더불어민주당 대전 서구 지역 지방선거 일부 예비후보들이 장종태 대전시장 경선 후보를 향한 전폭적인 지지를 선언하며 세 결집에 나섰다.
주정봉 대전 서구청장 예비후보를 비롯한 서구 지역 시·구의원 예비후보들은 30일 오전 11시 대전시의회 로비에서 기자회견을 열고 장 후보가 대전·충남 통합과 민생 경제 회복을 이끌 적임자임을 천명했다.
주정봉 예비후보와 참석자들은 지지 선언문을 통해 지금 대전에는 실무를 꿰뚫는 ‘진짜 행정 전문가’가 필요하다고 강조했다.
이들은 장종태 후보가 9급 공무원으로 시작해 재선 서구청장과 국회의원을 거치며 40여 년간 현장에서 헌신해 온 점을 높이 평가했다.
