경북소방본부는 지난 30일 성주소방서를 방문해 산불 대응 상황을 점검하고, 현장 중심의 선제 대응 강화를 강조했다.
이번 점검은 대가면 금산리 산림 인접 마을에 설치된 비상소화장치 점검으로 시작됐다. 현장에서는 장비의 관리 상태와 함께 주민 활용 실태를 확인하고, 비상소화장치에 대한 주민 교육의 필요성을 강조했다.
특히 주민들이 직접 비상소화장치를 작동해보는 실습 훈련도 병행됐다. 참가 주민들은 호스 전개와 방수 방법 등을 체험하며 초기 화재 대응 요령을 익혔고, 이를 통해 긴급 상황 발생 시 대응 능력을 높이는 계기를 마련했다.
이어 진행된 119산불신속대응팀과의 간담회에서는 산불 발생 시 신속한 출동과 초동 진압을 위한 인력 운영, 장비 활용 방안 등이 중점적으로 논의됐다.
박성열 경북소방본부장은 “산불은 초기 대응이 무엇보다 중요한 재난”이라며 “현장 대응체계를 더욱 공고히 하고, 유관기관과 주민 간 협력을 강화해 산불 피해를 최소화하겠다”고 밝혔다.
