【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군은 군청 대회의실에서 군민이 체감하는 성평등 정책 실현의 핵심 동력이 될 ‘제4기 여성친화도시 군민참여단’ 발대식을 개최했다고 31일 밝혔다.
이날 행사에는 전도성 진천 부군수를 비롯한 관계 공무원들과 4기 위촉 단원 등 40여 명이 참석했다.
발대식에서는 위촉장 수여와 함께 앞으로의 활동 방향을 공유하고 단원들의 역량을 강화하는 소통의 시간을 가졌다.
이번에 위촉된 제4기 군민참여단은 총 30명으로, 향후 2년간 지역사회 전반에 대한 모니터링, 지역민들의 인식개선을 위한 홍보 활동 등을 진행하게 된다.
특히 여성, 아동, 노인 등 사회적 약자의 시각에서 불편 사항을 발굴하고 정책 대안을 제시하는 ‘군정 파트너’ 역할을 할 예정이다.
군은 지난 2021년 여성친화도시로 처음 지정된 이후 꾸준한 사업 추진 성과를 인정받아, 지난해 12월 성평등가족부로부터 여성친화도시로 재지정되는 결실을 거둔 바 있다.
이러한 성과를 동력 삼아 2030년까지의 ‘진천군 여성친화도시 조성 5개년 계획’의 실행에 박차를 가하고, 군민참여단은 5개년 계획의 비전과 전략이 군민의 삶 속에 녹아들 수 있도록 현장 중심의 활동을 펼칠 예정이다.
