[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 함안군은 경상남도가 주관하는 ‘2026년 경상남도 무형유산 축제’ 공모사업에 최종 선정됐다고 31일 밝혔다.
이번 축제는 오는 10월 개최될 예정이며, ‘아라가야가 품은 무형유산’을 주제로 함안의 지역적 특성과 역사문화적 상징성을 바탕으로 추진된다.
특히 진주, 김해, 밀양, 창원, 거창 등 도내 시군이 함께 참여하는 교류형 축제로 운영될 계획이다.
축제는 지역 무형유산 공연을 비롯해 도내 무형유산 초청 공연, 무형유산 체험 프로그램, 다양한 부대행사 등으로 구성되며, 도민과 관광객이 무형유산의 가치와 의미를 쉽고 흥미롭게 이해하고 즐길 수 있도록 마련된다.
함안군 문화유산담당 관계자는 “이번 공모사업 선정을 계기로 지역 무형유산의 보존과 전승 기반을 더욱 강화하고, 도내 무형유산 교류와 협력을 활성화하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다”며 “아울러 함안의 역사문화 정체성을 널리 알리고 지역문화 브랜드 가치를 높이는 데 크게 기여할 것으로 본다”고 밝혔다.
