봉화군, 군수 예비후보 등록에 ‘부군수 권한대행 체제’ 전환

봉화군은 제9회 전국동시지방선거를 앞두고 박현국 군수가 예비후보자로 등록함에 따라 '지방자치법' 제124조 및 같은 법 시행령 제72조에 근거해 부군수 권한대행 체제로 전환했다고 밝혔다.

관련 법령에 따르면 지방자치단체장이 해당 선거에 입후보할 경우, 예비후보자 등록일부터 선거일까지 직무가 일시 정지되며 이 기간 동안 부군수가 직무를 대행하게 된다.

이에 따라 봉화군은 군정의 안정성과 연속성 확보를 최우선 과제로 삼고 민원·복지·안전 등 군민 생활과 밀접한 분야를 중심으로 주요 정책과 현안 사업이 차질 없이 추진되도록 행정력을 집중할 방침이다.

또한 공정하고 원활한 선거 진행을 위해 선거관리 지원에도 만전을 기할 계획이다.

박시홍 부군수는 “엄정한 공직기강과 정치적 중립이 어느 때보다 중요한 시기”라며 “전 부서가 법과 원칙에 따라 본연의 업무에 충실하고 공정한 선거 관리가 이뤄질 수 있도록 힘써달라”고 당부했다.

이어 “군정 공백이 발생하지 않도록 책임감을 갖고 지역 안정과 발전을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”며 “올해 계획된 사업들도 차질 없이 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Bonghwa County will operate its administration under an acting deputy county head system following the registration of the County Governor as a preliminary candidate for the local elections.

Bonghwa County announced that it has transitioned to an acting deputy county head system based on Article 124 of the Local Autonomy Act and Article 72 of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act, as County Governor Park Hyun-guk has registered as a preliminary candidate ahead of the 9th National Simultaneous Local Elections.

According to relevant laws, when a head of a local government runs for office in a relevant election, their duties are temporarily suspended from the date of preliminary candidate registration until the election day, during which the deputy county head assumes the duties.

Accordingly, Bonghwa County has made securing the stability and continuity of its administration its top priority and plans to concentrate its administrative efforts on ensuring that major policies and pending projects are implemented without disruption, focusing on areas closely related to the lives of residents such as civil complaints, welfare, and safety.
