【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청이 한국어 의사소통에 어려움을 겪는 이주배경학생을 대상으로 ‘찾아가는 한국어교육’을 본격적으로 운영한다.
시교육청은 4월부터 유치원생부터 고등학생까지 이주배경학생 195명을 대상으로 한국어와 한국문화 적응 교육을 실시한다고 00일 밝혔다. 이에 앞서 강사 선발과 사전 연수는 지난 1월에 모두 마무리됐다.
이번 사업은 한국어학급이 설치되지 않은 학교들을 중심으로 진행된다. 한국어강사 90명이 직접 각 학교로 찾아가 수업을 맡는다. 수업은 학생 1~3명을 대상으로 주 2~3회, 회당 50분씩 연간 60~90회 진행된다.
교육은 한국어 실력 향상은 물론, 한국문화 이해와 학교생활 적응까지 함께 지원하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있다. 소수 인원 맞춤형 지도를 통해 학습 효과는 물론 학생들의 학교 정착도 적극적으로 뒷받침할 계획이다.
강은희 교육감은 “이주배경학생들이 언어 장벽 없이 학교생활에 잘 적응할 수 있도록 성장 단계별로 맞춤형 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
