대전 동구, ‘효평마루 꿈드림 예술창작놀이터’ 개관

대전 동구가 자연과 예술, 인공지능 기술을 결합한 복합 문화예술 체험공간 ‘효평마루 꿈드림 예술창작놀이터’를 열고 본격 운영에 들어갔다. 

1일 효평동 대청호수로 일원에서 열린 개관식에는 박희조 동구청장과 오관영 동구의회 의장, 이장우 대전시장, 주민과 복지관 회원 등 150여 명이 참석했다.

이날 개관식에서는 시설 관람과 함께 다양한 체험 프로그램이 진행됐다. 참석자들은 AI 기반 UV프린팅 체험을 통해 작품을 직접 제작하고, 인공지능 기술로 구현한 예술작품도 둘러봤다. 폐교 공간을 활용해 조성된 기존 효평마루를 단순 전시 공간이 아니라 체험과 창작, 휴식이 함께 가능한 복합 문화공간으로 다시 짠 셈이다.

동구는 앞서 2024년 위탁 운영 종료 이후 효평마루 활용 방향을 재검토해 왔고, 대청호 관광 활성화 구상과 맞물려 문화예술 체험 중심 공간으로 전환하는 방안을 추진했다. 지난 1월에는 한국폴리텍Ⅳ대학 산학협력단과 위·수탁 협약을 맺고 운영 기반을 새로 마련했다.

수탁기관으로 선정된 한국폴리텍Ⅳ대학 산학협력단은 올해 2월부터 2028년 12월까지 약 3년 동안 효평마루 운영을 맡는다. 지역 작가 전시 확대, AI를 활용한 문화예술 체험 프로그램 기획, 시설 유지관리, 지역 관광자원과 연계한 확장 사업 등이 주요 운영 계획으로 포함돼 있다.
