【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군은 4월 1일 오후 3시 이원면 옥천묘목공원 일원에서 ‘제24회 옥천묘목축제’를 앞두고 민·관 합동안전점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
이번 점검은 축제 기간 중 발생할 수 있는 각종 안전사고를 예방하고, 안전한 행사 운영을 위해 마련됐다. 이날 점검에는 옥천군 부군수와 균형건설국장을 포함한 군 관계자 10명과 옥천경찰서, 옥천소방서 등 유관기관 관계자 5명, 시설·전기·가스 분야 민간전문가 3명으로 구성된 안전관리자문단이 축제장 전반에 대한 현장 점검을 진행했다.
참석자들은 축제장 시설물 상태를 비롯해 전기·가스 관리, 소방시설 작동 여부, 식품 안전 관리 등 주요 분야를 중심으로 체크리스트에 따라 점검을 실시하며 안전관리 실태를 면밀히 확인했다.
군은 점검 과정에서 확인된 지적사항에 대해 4월 2일 축제 개막 전까지 즉시 보완 조치를 완료할 계획이다.
또한 같은 날 충청북도 사회재난과 안전점검팀이 축제장을 방문해 표본 확인점검을 실시할 예정이며, 군 안전건설과와 산림과 관계자들이 함께 현장을 점검할 계획이다.
이헌창 부군수는 “축제장을 찾는 군민과 관광객이 안심하고 행사를 즐길 수 있도록 행사 전까지 안전점검과 보완 조치를 철저히 하겠다”고 말했다.
