영동군은 치매 고위험군의 치매 예방과 조기 발견을 위한 ‘2026년 찾아가는 기억 지킴이 사업’을 4월부터 운영한다고 밝혔다.해당 사업에서는 교육받은 기억지킴이가 주 1회 대상자 가정을 직접 방문해 주간 인지 확인, 치매예방체조, 치매愛기억담기 워크북 활동, 인지 강화 프로그램 등을 12주간 진행한다.
사업 대상자는 원거리나 거동 불편 등으로 치매안심센터 이용이 어려운 75세 이상 고령 노인, 75세 이상 독거노인, 경도인지장애로 진단받은 치매 고위험군 60명이 대상이다.
기억지킴이 활동은 상·하반기로 나눠서 운영하며, 치매 고위험군에 대한 조기 검진과 예방 관리를 강화하고 지역사회 치매 안전망을 확충할 계획이다.
기억지킴이는 노인맞춤돌봄서비스 제공 인력인 생활지원사를 대상으로 하여 상반기에 영동군사회복지협의회, 수가성재가노인복지센터 생활지원사 40명이 활동하며 하반기에는 영동군노인복지관 생활지원사 20명이 활동할 예정이다.
