[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산영상위원회가 지역 제작사의 안정적인 배급 환경을 조성하고 부산 영화의 전국적인 판로를 넓히기 위해 발 벗고 나섰다.
부산영상위원회는 부산 제작사가 만든 작품의 유통과 배급을 돕는 2026 부산제작사 유통 배급 지원사업을 추진한다고 1일 밝혔다. 올해로 3년 차를 맞이한 이번 사업은 제작 단계에 머물러 있는 지역 영화가 실제 관객과 만날 기회를 늘리고 지역 배급 생태계의 자생력을 높이는 데 중점을 뒀다.
지원 대상은 부산 소재 제작사가 제작을 완료한 60분 이상의 극장 개봉용 영화와 영상물이다. 부산영상위원회의 제작 지원을 받았거나 부산 지역 촬영 비중이 30% 이상인 작품은 선정 시 우대한다. 위원회는 총 2편 내외의 작품을 선정해 편당 최대 2,200만 원의 배급비를 차등 지원할 계획이다.
올해 사업은 단순한 금전적 지원을 넘어 실질적인 배급 성과를 내기 위한 이행 조건을 강화했다. 선정된 작품은 올해 안에 배급을 완료해야 하며, 지역 극장 2곳을 포함해 전국 7개 이상의 상영관에서 영화를 걸어야 한다. 또한 부산 시민을 대상으로 한 무료 상영회도 1회 이상 개최해야 하는 의무를 부여했다.
강성규 부산영상위원회 운영위원장은 부산에서 제작된 우수한 작품들이 전국의 관객과 더 가깝게 만날 수 있기를 바란다며 제작부터 유통, 배급으로 이어지는 선순환 지원 구조를 확립해 지역 제작사의 지속적인 성장 기반을 다지겠다고 전했다.
이번 지원사업의 접수는 4월 1일부터 4월 13일 오후 5시까지 온라인으로 진행된다. 세부적인 모집 요강과 관련 서류는 부산영상위원회 공식 홈페이지 공지사항을 통해 확인할 수 있다.

The Busan Film Commission announced on the 1st that it is launching the **2026 Busan Production Company Distribution Support Program**. Now in its third year, the initiative aims to ensure that works produced in Busan move beyond the production phase to reach actual audiences, while simultaneously strengthening the foundations of the local distribution ecosystem.
The program targets feature-length films or videos (over 60 minutes) produced by Busan-based companies intended for theatrical release. Priority will be given to projects previously supported by the Busan Film Commission or those with more than 30% of their filming conducted within Busan. The commission plans to select approximately two projects, providing up to 22 million KRW per film to cover distribution and marketing costs.
This year’s program features enhanced mandatory conditions to ensure tangible distribution results. Selected films must complete their distribution within the calendar year and are required to be screened in at least seven theaters nationwide, including two local cinemas. Additionally, recipients must host at least one free screening event specifically for Busan citizens.
Kang Sung-kyu, Operating Chairman of the Busan Film Commission, stated that he hopes excellent works produced in Busan can meet nationwide audiences more frequently and closely. He added that by establishing a virtuous cycle of support—from production to distribution—the commission will continue to build a foundation for the sustainable growth of Busan-based production companies.
Applications for the support program are open online from April 1 until 5:00 PM on April 13. Detailed recruitment guidelines and submission forms are available on the official Busan Film Commission website.
