(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 더불어민주당 차준택 부평구청장이 2일 오전 11시 부평구청 2층 브리핑룸에서 출마선언 기자회견을 열고 6.3 지방선거 3선 도전을 공식 선언했다.
차 구청장은 이날 출마선언문을 통해 “코로나19 위기, 경기침체, 불법 계엄과 내란이라는 격랑 속에서도 부평의 미래를 위한 준비를 멈추지 않았다”며 “8년의 성과를 단절이 아닌 도약으로 이어가려면 부평구 최초의 3선 구청장이 필요하다”고 밝혔다.
선거캠프의 슬로건은 ‘성과를 넘어 도약으로, 부평은 차준택’이다.
지난 8년간 난 2018년 첫 당선 이후 두 차례 연임하며 거둔 성과를 바탕으로 부평의 도약을 이끌겠다는 다짐을 담았다.
차 구청장은 구민과 함께 만들어 온 주요 성과로 굴포천 생태하천 복원, 유니세프 아동친화도시 인증 획득, 수도권광역급행철도(GTX) B노선 및 부평역 복합환승센터 사업 착수, 80여 년간 폐쇄됐던 캠프마켓 개방, 부평 남부권역 체육센터·노인문화센터 건립, 부평상권 르네상스 및 문화도시 사업 추진 등을 꼽았다.
차 구청장은 "8년의 기반 위에서 도약과 완성을 말할 수 있는 것은 그 책임을 끝까지 완수해 온 사람"이라며 "불법 계엄과 내란의 위기를 넘어 민주주의를 지켜낸 지금, 지방정부에서도 힘을 모아 중앙정부와 발맞춰 지역 발전의 속도를 높여야 한다"고 덧붙였다.
차 구청장은 민선 9기의 과제로 캠프마켓 공원화 및 군부대 이전 부지 개발 완성, 부평역세권 중심의 도시 경제 활성화, 부평형 노인친화도시 실현, AI 기반 미래 산업 인프라 구축, 십정동 건강·문화 복합형 노인문화센터 및 산곡동 청소년 특화도서관 건립 등 부평 남서권역 인프라 확충 등을 제시했다.
차 구청장은 "2018년과 2022년, 두 번의 선거에서 저를 선택해 주신 구민 여러분의 마음을 부평의 도약으로 보답하겠다"며 "부평을 가장 잘 알고, 부평의 미래를 가장 오래 준비해 온 사람으로서 앞으로 4년, 도시의 미래를 완성하겠다"고 밝혔다.
