대구시교육청은 초등학교 중심의 ‘온동네 늘봄학교 협의체’ 36개를 신설해 운영에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.

이번 협의체에는 초등학교 76교를 중심으로 지역아동센터, 다함께돌봄센터 등 마을돌봄기관 93곳과 행정복지센터·도서관 등 유관기관 24곳이 참여해 총 117개 기관이 협력한다.

협의체는 동부 12개, 서부 10개, 남부 9개, 달성 5개 권역으로 구성되며, 총 255명의 관계자가 참여한다. 정기 협의회와 현장 방문 등을 통해 돌봄 자원과 정보를 공유하고 학생별 맞춤형 돌봄 서비스를 제공할 계획이다.

대구시교육청은 이번 협의체 운영을 통해 심야·방학·틈새 돌봄 등 사각지대를 해소하고 학부모 양육 부담을 줄이는 한편, 학교의 돌봄 업무 부담도 완화할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.

강은희 교육감은 “학교와 지역사회가 함께하는 통합 돌봄 체계를 구축해 단 한 명의 아이도 돌봄에서 소외되지 않도록 하겠다”고 말했다.
