【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=단양군치매안심센터가 치매 사각지대 해소와 촘촘한 돌봄 안전망 구축을 위해 방문형 인지재활 프로그램인 ‘찾아가는 기억지킴이’ 사업을 4월부터 11월까지 본격 운영한다.
이번 사업은 치매 고위험군과 고령 노인을 대상으로 추진되며, 단양나누미방문요양센터와 연계해 대상자 가정을 직접 찾아가는 맞춤형 인지재활 서비스를 제공하는 것이 핵심이다.
프로그램 운영에는 단양나누미방문요양센터 소속 직원 11명(요양보호사 10명, 관리자 1명)으로 구성된 ‘기억지킴이’ 활동가들이 참여한다.
이들은 대상자를 직접 방문해 인지 상태를 점검하고, 1대1 맞춤형 프로그램을 통해 치매 예방과 조기 발견을 지원할 예정이다.
사업 추진에 앞서 지난 3월 27일 단양나누미방문요양센터에서는 ‘기억지킴이’ 발대식과 기본교육이 진행됐다.
이날 교육에서는 사업 전반 소개를 비롯해 치매파트너 가입, 활동 워크북 활용 방법 등이 안내됐으며, 활동가방과 교구세트 지급, 교육 이수증 수여도 함께 이뤄졌다.
향후 활동가들은 대상자 가정을 방문해 사전 평가를 실시한 뒤 주 1회 정기 방문을 통해 워크북 활동과 치매 예방 체조 등 인지 기능 유지·향상 프로그램을 운영하게 된다.
군 치매안심센터는 그동안 해당 사업을 통해 치매 안전망을 확대하고 치매 환자 조기 발견과 인지 기능 개선에 긍정적인 성과를 거둬왔다.
센터 관계자는 “거동이 불편하거나 원거리 거주로 치매안심센터 이용이 어려운 사각지대 대상자에게 맞춤형 서비스를 제공해 인지 저하를 예방하고, 치매 고위험군을 조기에 발견하는 데 힘쓰겠다”며 “앞으로도 치매 걱정 없는 건강한 단양 조성을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
